[comp.sys.mac] NFNT to FONT Converter?

rcd@cbnewsj.ATT.COM (rana.c.dutt) (01/06/90)

I use Resedit as a font editor. It works if the font file is in the
FONT resource format, but not if it is in the NFNT format.

Does anyone know of a PD utility that converts NFNT format back to
FONT format? Is there any way of editing an NFNT font?

Thanks.

Having just spent many many hours doing this let me give you the run down.
1. Use the Check/Fix feature of Font Harmony that comes with Suitcase II.
If you don't do this your Fonts won't display right as NFNT's
2. Use the Font/DA utility that comes with MasterJuggler.
This will also convert them back to Fond resource.
Now the problem comes if you ever use a service breau. You will need
Adobe's numbering . The much easier and faster way is to order all the
screen fonts (NFNT) from the PostScript alliance. About $80.00.
Good Luck...
