We all know that FullWrtie Professional (version 1.1) can be a slug on large documents. (I was using it recently because I find it a lot faster than Interleaf on an Apollo system at my client's). However, on a 10 chapter, 70 page document, with 1.6 Meg of RAM to itself, it gradually ate more and more memory (I was watching it with the "About Finder" window). Now, I wasn't doing anything in FWP, my hands weren't touching the keyboard or the mouse. The bar graph showed about half of the memory taken, and then, over a period of about 3 minutes, worked itself up to a notch from full usage. Meanwhile, FWP said it had 80% of its memory free! Does anyone have an explanation? a work-around? I especially disliked how it lost characters as I was typing. Being slow is bad, loosing keyboard input is inexcusable. -- "Wisdom is supreme; | Tom Huras, Gellman.Hayward & Partners Ltd. therefore get wisdom. | 33 Yonge St., Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M5E 1G4 Though it costs all you have,| (416)862-0430 get understanding." | tom%ghp@mnetor.uucp Proverbs 4:7 | Disclaimer: These are only my opinions...
