I've just tried, for the first time in months, to run Mac Write 4.5, and it crashes my Mac IIx, even with no inits turned on. Error code was 25, whatever that is... System 6.0.3, 5Mb of RAM, SuperMac Colorcard/24. Last time I ran Write was on a Mac Plus... Also, what's the scoop on System 6.0.4? Is it a stable release? I hear rumblings of problems, but I'd like to run the newer software. Also, do I need the 32-bit QuickDraw Init if I use 6.0.4? Finally, what exactly is 32-bit QuickDraw? It's not an init, it's a "document," and so Init CDEV can't turn it off... Thanks, --Mike

Michael - the problem isn't with 6.0.4 or your Mac II,it's with MacWrite 4.5. Only MacWrite 4.6 or greater will run on any Mac II model. -Russ
