Printer error -98, as we discoved after about 4 days, means that
someone or something has shut off AppleTalk. Somehow or another, a fit
of inspiration caused us to go into the Chooser. Not that we didn't
look in the documentation, or what we had of it. Are these cryptic
error codes documented anywhere in a manual that one would expect to
arrive along with a Mac II and LWIINT?
