I have an Abaton Interfax fax modem, and the software that came with it, while easy to use, does not do what I need it to. My main complaint is that while the program will save files as Tiff, Pict or Mac Paint, I want to convert the data into a MS Word format using OmniPage, which will not open the Tiff file created by interfax, I have tried converting the files using Pixel Paint, Image studio and others with no solutions in sight. Does anyone know of any good Fax modem software that will output true Tiff files etc... ? I have heard of a program called Back Fax, does anyone know anything of it? Any/All help appreciated. -- ************************************************************************ *W.L.Ware LANCEWARE SYSTEMS* *WLW2286%ritvax.cunyvm.cuny.edu Value Added reseller* *WLW2286%ultb.isc.rit.edu Mac and IBM Access. *

There's a new version of the InterFax software that will save uncompressed TIFF. The Caere people, makers of OmniPage, also addressed this problem in a rev; it will now opened compressed TIFF. Finally, if you want to upgrade neither of the two, DeskPaint works just swimmingly: it opens the compressed TIFF and saves uncompressed. Stephan Somogyi NetWorkShop Manager MacUser
