[comp.sys.mac] PD PostScript typefaces?

taylor@limbo.Intuitive.Com (Dave Taylor) (01/15/90)

I'm interested in picking up copies of a number of what I would
call "special purpose headline typefaces" (like the Adobe
typefaces Stencil, Hobo and Brush Script as well as stuff like a
nice Old English and such), but don't really want to spend the
many $$$ to build up a reasonable collection.

Is there any local source of PD versions of these faces that
could work with a Mac (e.g. display fonts) and LaserWriter
(scalable PostScript fonts) too? Any good stuff from EduCom
or BMUG? FTP'able? etc etc...

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Yes, BMUG has an *AWESOME* set of fonts; many more than even me :-) !
I'm going to get some as soon as possible. Their (1 inch thick!) catalog
of publically-distributable software and fonts give good indication of
the programs and the fonts.

No personal connection to BMUG other than as an *extremely* satisfied
customer...
