I'd like to start a new thread that isn't a flame war and is apropos to this group (what a concept!). What are good sources to buy non-electronic "Mac-stuff" like posters, T-shirts, gadgets, clocks, workstations (desks), videos, etc. that would be good to decorate my home Mac-office? I'm looking for things that have that Mac "feel" to them; I could use a 10-cent phrase like "clean/industrial-but-arty Macintosh design aesthetic", but you probably get the idea. An example would be a "Wheels For The Mind" poster. Perhaps there is an Apple company store? I'm not (necessarily) looking for things with the Apple logo, though that might be interesting too! Mail-order is best, but Bay Area retail stores are OK too (I have relatives in Sunnyvale who could pick things up). Also, how does one get CDs, etc. from the Windham Hill (sp?) label, and what are good Mac-like albums that they have published? You can post or mail directly to me. I'll post a summary of anything that doesn't get posted by the originator (unless you ask me not to). Dave Wolverton att!attunix!daw or daw@attunix.att.com

It has some amazing stuff (and that's not entirely a compliment :-)). They also run a mail-order version called "The Apple Collection" that has a lot of the same stuff for those of us who don't get to Cupertino too often. I don't have the address off hand, though. Somewhere in New Jersey, I think... Your friendly neighborhood Apple dealer may have a mini order form that you can use to get a catalog. Amanda Walker InterCon Systems Corporation --

Now Apple runs something called the Apple Merchandising Program. The main change (as far as this discussion goes) is that they no longer sell directly to customers. They sell to employees, dealers, VARs, college resellers, etc. Also, the Company Store is a client of the merchandising program and not vice versa. The Company Store sells a lot of other stuff besides T-Shirts (e.g., computers). Larry Rosenstein, Apple Computer, Inc.
