A friend has a 'Word Help' file on his Mac+ that he can't delete. The file attributes say that the file is "BUSY", so when he tries to delete it he gets a 'Can't delete, file in use' type of message. He is using Finder, and is not in MSWord, so the file should not be in use. I suspect that some crash occurred while the file was in use by MSWord. Anyway, the file attribute shows up as '88'. Does anyone have suggestions on how to change the file attribute (and where it actually appears on the disk)? Is there some other way of deleting the file? The disk tools he is using say that the file attribute is '88' and that the file is marked as 'Busy', but we can't find the '88' anywhere when looking at the file on disk, and we can't change it where it is displayed. This may be a limitation of the tools he is using (sorry, don't know what they are). If you have a tool to suggest that will do the job (especially if it's PD, Shareware, Freeware, etc.), please do! Thanks, Kevan.
