I haven't purchased an upgrade to White Knight yet because I had no idea what it was really like. I borrowed a copy from a friend tonight for evaluation purposes and was quite disappointed. Two major bugs/misfeatures (at least) still exist and are as annoying as ever. First, when you copy text from the screen by selecting it and hitting cmd-C, the screen redraws. This is annoying and wastes time and should have been redone in this version. It still happens. How come this is unnecessary in "lesser" programs such as ZTerm? Second, if you are in Emacs or nn, occasionally WK will garble the status line if you do something that obscures it, like bring up a dialog (VT Modes..., for instance). This doesn't seem to happen every time, but it definitely _has_ happened in both RR and WK. Other things, like requiring the manual to figure out how to get an escape key, etc. make this program not nearly enough of an improvement over RR to make me upgrade. I guess I'll continue to use RR and switch to ZTerm when it's time to download... -- Mark Nagel UC Irvine Department of ICS +----------------------------------------+ ARPA: nagel@ics.uci.edu | Charisma doesn't have jelly in the | UUCP: ucbvax!ucivax!nagel | middle. -- Jim Ignatowski |

I have two other problems: - when I compile a procedure it the edit window, WK bombs - when I have the file transfer program save to a folder that a level or two down (from the hard drive), WK bombs Larry Schneider
