Well, folks, for those of you who've been waiting for a way to view GIF files on your Mac Plus, SE, or II, or who've wanted to be able to convert between the various graphics formats (PICT, PNTG, EPSF, TIFF, RIFF, GIF, etc), then this is the software for you. I've posted the latest demo version of GIF Converter 2.0, version d12 to Sumex. It should show up there sometime soon. If somebody will tell me the format of postings to comp.binaries.mac, I'll post it there as well. I included some of the documentation in the header I sent to Sumex, and the complete release notes are included in the stuffit file. In brief, the software is a fully functional program, but it corrupts images as they are displayed on screen, or saved to another file (doesn't bother the original, of course). This lets you test it out on your machine. If you then send the $40, you get a complete documentation package, the latest version of 2.0, the release version of 1.0, and the key to unlock 2.0. This key will work to unlock further updates of 2.0. The program works on black-and-white machines as well as 8-bit machines, which should be a welcome break for anyone who's ever tried running Giffer on a Plus :-). --Mike P.S. I'm just a super-satisfied customer, who actually got permission to post the software...
