Does anyone know of a program which will sit on-top-of/below/along-side another Mac application and will check the spelling of text as it is input. I seem to remember a DA a couple of years ago which would work with most programs and would beep when an unknown word was input. Thanks for any assistance, Peter Evans

I've heard and seen fantastic things from Thunder II. It is a very good interactive spell checker. The whole thing is rolled up into a CDEV and some rather large support files.
