Here's a question for you. One of the computer labs here at Ball State appears to be having a problem with one of their FDHD SuperDrives. People formatting their normal 800K disks in these drives are having problems using these disks in other labs (and in the same lab -- sometimes). Unfortunately, the people running the lab do not know which machine is doing this. Now, there are 20 Mac IIcx machines in this lab, all of them with external FDHD drives. So that makes 40 FDHD drives -- it could be any one of them. Any idea how to easily figure out which one? They don't sound too keen on pumping disks in and out of these drives. Most seem to work fine (through some very simple testing), so they are led to believe that one of the drives is out of alignment. Any suggestions? -Michael -- Michael Niehaus UUCP: <backbones>!{iuvax,pur-ee}!bsu-cs!mithomas Apple Student Rep ARPA: mithomas@bsu-cs.bsu.edu Ball State University AppleLink: ST0374 (from UUCP: st0374@applelink.apple.com)
