I currently own & use Deluxe Music Construction Set 2.5 for simple composing and scoring. I use the Mac for playback, as I do not (yet) own any MIDI equipment. Two questions: Are there any DMCS Instruments out there that I could get? I'm particularly interested in acoustic guitar (classical & steel string), but others such as banjo, mandolin, fiddle, & brass instruments would be useful as well. If only I could use the Super Studio Session instrument files.... Have people used any of the "new" music scoring/playback programs that have been popping up? NoteWriter? Music Publisher? MusicProse? What are your opinions? If you respond via mail I'll happily summarize and post the results to the net.
