Hi folks! I've got SoftPC up and running (finally) on my Mac II, and I'd like to have it printing to my DeskWriter (HP). The manual says something about "Oh, just have it try to print to the (emulated) parallel port" ... which may or may not work for applications, but when I try to print a text file to "lpt1", there is a little bit of a reaction from the DeskWriter (it sits there and clicks faintly every second or two), but no printing. The User's guide doesn't really explain this very well. I'm running SoftPC version 1.3. Thanks in advance, Brad

Oops ... I don't know if I woke up extra dense this morning or what, but .... Printing from softPC was just too simple for me to comprehend: say "print [filename]" respond with a "PRN" or a <RETURN> to the prompt: "Name of list device [PRN]:" choose "start printing" from the file menu. Sorry for wasted bandwidth. --Brad
