I'd like recommendations for a good software package to make fancy-looking certificates (e.g. scroll borders, seals, calligraphy lettering, etc.) like diplomas. I'll be outputting to a laserwriter. I would like the option to insert my own graphics (e.g. EPS). I prefer feedback from those who have actual experience with the software. I see two packages in the mail order catalogs: Certificate Maker (~$22) - publisher: Springboard Top Honors (~$50) - publisher: Springboard I don't know the difference between them; presumably they are different, since they come from the same publisher and are priced differently. Alternatively, I have access to Adobe Illustrator 88 (I know its overkill) if people recommend I use that. Presumably I'd need to get one of Adobe's libraries of border designs, since I am not particularly artistic myself. Zapf Chancery and some of the other fonts would do for the lettering aspect. So... any suggestions or recommendations about these or other packages? Dave Wolverton daw@attunix.att.com or att!attunix!daw
