Hey... I have been wondering for quite awhile why Microsoft has yet to release an update to its ANCIENT yet still very popular Flight Simulator... (usually on MAcUSer or MacWeek top ten sales lists) I think they are still selling the MACPlus "version", meaning it won't work on anything above a 68000. I know it doesn't work on IIs and accelerated SEs. Has anybody out there heard any news or rumors? Just curious, H. Scott Matthews Carnegie Mellon ECE

Simple. Microsoft didn't write Flight Simulator. They bought it from a company called SubLogic in Champaign, Illinois. If I remember correctly, the terms of the license/sale/what have you didn't give SubLogic much incentive to do any upgrades- thus they've concentrated their efforts on Jet. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ dave long dlong@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu research programmer dlong@uxh.cso.uiuc.edu computing services office AppleLink: A0377 university of illinois (disclaimer pending...) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
