I've been playing with a demo Diconix M150 Plus printer from Kodak, which they're billing as the "other half" of the portable computing solution, to complement the Mac Portable. It's a tiny printer... only slightly wider than a sheet of tractor-feed paper, and the depth of the printer is just over half the length of the same sheet. It's about 2 or 2.5 inches high. Definitely one of the cuter Mac peripherals to hit the scene in a while! In a good move on Kodak's part, the printer comes bundled with Adobe Type Manager. The printout, when using Adobe type-1 PostScript fonts, is therefore quite clean. The spec sheet says the printer has 192x192 dot-per-inch print resoluion, which places it between the ImageWriter II and the LQ. The text output looks pretty good. What I'm looking for are comments from people who've used the printer in a productive setting for a while. Reliability, ink staying power, and other issues would be appropriate. Basically, I need other people's reactions to the thing. Tell me what you think, folks. I'll summarize the findings. -- ============================================================================ Mark H. Anbinder "Have your tech support call my tech support. BAKA Computers, Inc.
