I am having a problem getting STEVIE(the VI editor look alike) to run on my MacIIcx. It is version 3.69 obtained via ftp from Stanford in binhex form which un-binhexed and un-stuffited with no problem. The files that were retrieved were advertised as being STEVIE for the Mac. The one and only application in the myriad of files(lots of source, control, and documentation documents as well) launches when double clicked but brings up the following message - 'The application "stevie" has unexpectedly quit(1).' Obviously the the Mac recognizes it as an application and attempts to launch. None of the documentation files acknowledge that it has been ported to the Mac except for one source file that appears to be a terminal emulator for the Mac, yet get info believes it is a Mac application, i.e. I have scoured the documentation and some of the source for a hint of what to do to fix the problem with no success. I am pretty new to the Mac world, and am not a C programmer so trouble shooting is not something I know how to do. Any ideas anyone? Please respond to me via e-mail. No need to clutter the net. Thanks. -- Jim Goncher 415/823-0663 {att, bellcore, sun, ames, pyramid}!pacbell!jag
