Hello Netters, Now, I know this problem has been solved many times before, so I thought I might borrow some of your experience. We are putting together a departmental network (MAC's, PC's and a few workstations), and one of the more important services we want to provide is e-mail. What I would like to find out is what mail programs exist for PC's, MAC's *and* UNIX? I am interested in both public domain and commerical packages. If you could send me a description of the mailer(s) you know about, especially if you have *used* it/them, and pointers of where to find them, then I will summarize your responses and post them. Keep in mind the following wish list of features: - Compatible with internet mailers. - A central mail server that will run under BSD-UNIX or Sun/OS 4. - Front-ends for PC's, MAC's and/or UNIX. - Notification of incoming mail on end machines, PC's and MAC's. Also, any other advise you can give on creating and administering a network would be appreciated. Thanks, Jamie Gobble.
