Arie, My information is directly from the head of Claris' Tech Support. Basically, because of conflicting reports of compatibility with spoolers...they cannot guarantee compatibility with ANY spooler (including Apple's). Thanks for the info. I want you to know that I am not blaming you, I am blaming the company for that, but what am I suppose to do with the two five-pack SuperLaserSpool that I paid to upgrade only because The tech support person told me there are no problems with it and FileMaker II? ============================================================================= Arie Covrigaru | Internet: arie@eecs.umich.edu University of Michigan AI Lab | 1101 Beal Ave., Ann Arbor, MI 48109 =============================================================================

Arie, You have two options...if you purchased SLS within the last 30 days, you can return it for a refund of your purchase price or you can keep the 5 pack and use it with applications, other than FileMaker II. It's unfortunate that Claris gave you incorrect information. Fabian Ramirez SuperMac Technology fabian@cup.portal.com sun!cup.portal.com!fabian

Sorry to disagree, but I use FileMaker II with Apple's PrintSpooler and Background Printing On, and have never had any trouble. I do this just about every week, though our print load is pretty low here. -- -- Help me justify my online bills: ask me EndNote questions, please! -- Avi Rappoport 2000 Hearst, Berkeley, CA 94709 nilesinc@well.sf.ca.us, 415-655-6666 Niles.Assoc on AppleLink fax: 415-649-8179

Avi, As I stated before...due to conflicting reports of compatibility between FileMaker II and _any_ spooler, Claris has informed us (SuperMac) that FileMaker II does not support third party spoolers. Fabian Ramirez SuperMac Technology fabian@cup.portal.com sun!cup.portal.com!fabian
