Can anyone out there using UUPC help me get it running on my Mac? I have never had to deal with doing anything similar on a Mac or UNIX box before, and the included documentation is less than tutorial in nature, esp. for a beginner. I realize that there is a good chance that this has been asked here before, but I dont have the time to read it very often, so if someone has collected the major pitfalls and simple instructions for getting the program to start getting mail and news, I would be most grateful. (Please respond by EMAIL, of course, although I will put extra effort into reading the followups to this, if they appear.) I, too, had some trouble understanding what exactly it was going to do and what I had to do. More importantly, I have no Macs with modems, but only Macs with lines to our terminal server. I would still like to use it, but I have no idea how to convert modem "dial" information to the commands to open the channel to the terminal server. Once that was done, I assume all login procedures and transfer items would still work. Anyone who may have use it for semi-local support and wants to tell me how, please feel free.
