I recently ordered an 80 meg Quantum hard drive from Alliance Peripherals. The
told me they would ship it to Eastern Canada by UPS and it should get here in 3
days. I initially called them with one of the few toll free numbers that I have
found to work from Canada. The drive arrived very well packed with a Mac SE
internal mounting bracket for a total of $569.00+$10.00 for shipping. I also
asked for the popular HD backup software from them called Redux. It normally
sells for $51.00 from cheap mailorder places, but they were selling it with the
drive for $16.00. Also with the HD was a price list stating the HD is $559.00
as of Feb.1. Therefore they charged me $10.00 extra and there was no program
called Redux in the package. I then called them toll free and told them what
happened. Before I could finish they had credited $10.00 to my credit card and
apologised profusely for forgetting to order Redux for me. They promised to
send me Redux by surface mail free of charge for my inconvenience. To my
surprise the software arrived at my doorstep three days later VIA UPS. I was
very impressed by there service, support and manner on the telephone. The
hard drive the sent is the newer Quantum without the sticking problems as
mentioned on the net before. I am a satisfied customer and highly recommend
this dealer. Iinitially found the name from a similar message left by one of
