That does it! It took me over an hour to perfect the month of April on my calendar maker, thanks Lars, (if anybody wants the calendar maker, ask!) and when I go to print it at 'BEST' quality it gets all these gaps and spaces bet- ween mid-lines. I know how it prints at 'best', but it shouldn't HAVE that option if it prints so awkward. Even on my reports, it does that. SO, what I"m asking is: CAN SOMEBODY recommend a low-cost printer that will do these and ONLY these things flawlessly: 1. Print fonts WITHOUT ANY VISIBLE HORIZONTAL SPACES 2. Output has to look decent; better-than-Imagewriter-II.. (which is what I have at the time..) 3. I AM NOT LOOKING FOR SPEED! I could care less how fast or slow a printer is.. it's better than writing! 4. Hopefully not too many 'add-on's that are almost manditory (ie paper tray, print head, - you'd be surprised what some manufacturers do to you!) Is that too much to ask for? Maybe a DeskJet or something like that? I'm pretty sick of X-Pin printers - I'd like to move on to laser or somesuch similar device. WHat do YOU recommend? (model and such). I'll take all input and price. Thanks for your time! -Jeffq
