I read the mac digest newsgroup that announces new utilities to be found in the info-mac archives at sumex. Because we have no access to the Internet, I pick up new utilities from FILESERV@IRLEARN.BITNET (let me call that irl for brevity). But irl (being a "mirror image of the sumex archive) sort of lags behind sumex. Moreover, one has to access the file by "number" instead of by their name. The problem is that when I send for an "INDEX NEWMAC", I receive a list that consists for 95% of abstract files etc. And all I want are your "fn ft" numbers for the newest mac utilities, cdevs applications etc. That leaves me with two questions: - Can I get a list of all new files between say, December 1989 and now? - Can I (in some way or another) automatically get INDEX NEWMAC or something else that gives me an up to date list of the newest Macintosh things (APP, CDEV etc.).
