Some time ago, I trashed my database program, McMax, because it couldn't control the form length when I was printing labels. I did find a workaround, however. Now I'm trying to print nametags, one at a time, on continuous feed stock in ImageWriters and ImageWriter LQs. However, I find that none of the software I have seems to be able to set the form length either. The only choices for paper size are about six standard selections, none of which is right for my stock, which is 2.5 inches long and 4 inches wide. The company I bought the stock from sells software for $300 to print nametags (though I don't know how it would do with them one at a time--I want to do it that way so there is minimum waiting while I make nametags for new registrants at a conference). Does anyone know of Macintosh software which allows the user to set a custom form-length (and width)? It would also be nice to be able to include simple graphics, but the page-size setting is primary. PageMaker allows you to select a custom page size, but it has no effect on the printer form length. I've also tried SuperPaint and MacDraw. Presumably what I need is a program with a custom printer driver which is configued to set the printer's form length--all these printers have such commands built in, but none of the standard drivers appear to make them available to the user. I need a quick answer since I need to produce lots of nametags one at a time at a conference next week. Please send any response to me via Email since I am caught up in conference preparations and don't have time to scan comp.sys.mac.
