I am looking for leads to or information about a two manual harpsichord in the French or Flemish style. I would also like information or opinions about any harpsichord makers. In particular, I am looking for a maker in northern Illinois, but information about those in other states is welcome. I am not looking for German production instruments unless someone knows of any of them that have made tremendous advances. Budget is a considerable constraint. Does anyone have an opinion about the Zuckerman Flemish double? Is there anyone within driving distance of Chicago who has one and would be willing to let me examine it?
