I am in the market for a 300 DPI printer for my Mac SE. So far I have examined: - the LaserWriter II family (too expensive) - the General Computer Personal LaserPrinter II ($1399) I have heard good things about the HP Deskwriter and personal LaserJet II (the LaserJet II-P, I believe). I understand HP now has a LaserJet III available, though I don't know its price. The GCC PLP II is about the right price for me. I don't care if the page has to be imaged on the Mac. Please forward the following information on *your* recommendation: - model - price (list/common street) - performance (pages per minute) - features (supported by ATM, downloadable fonts, "compatibility" with the Macintosh, whatever) I plan to make a decision within the next one to two months. E-mail your recommendations to me and I will summarize to the net. Thanks in advance. - reg -- Rick Genter reg@ksr.com Kendall Square Research Corporation (617) 895-9400 x483

My e-mail address was screwed up yesterday; if anyone tried to respond to me request for information on 300 DPI printers, it probably got sucked into a black hole. Briefly, I am interested in recommendations on inexpensive 300 DPI printers. Please forward the following information on *your* recommendation: - model - price (list/common street) - performance (pages per minute) - features (supported by ATM, downloadable fonts, "compatibility" with the Macintosh, whatever) Thanks (once again) in advance. - reg -- Rick Genter reg@ksr.com Kendall Square Research Corporation (617) 895-9400 x483
