We have a small cluster of Macs hooked up through the walls via phonenet boxes. A couple months ago, we got a new Laserwriter IIntx to aid in printing (we already had one Laserwriter). Although our old LW works fine all the time, the new one has some difficulty registering itself on the AppleTalk network. It may appear in the chooser for a short time, but almost always is not there. What confuses me is that I can't locate the problem's source. All the cabling was switched with the same result. And if I connect the LW IIntx directly up to a single computer, it works fine, too. The diagnostics have been run too to no avail. What would cause it to die when connected to the larger network??
