I was able to find adobe fonts on the sumex archive, does anyone know what type fonts these are? I want to try to use them with my Adobe Type Manager (ATM) but realize that ONLY type I fonts will work. Are any of these Type I fonts? How can I find out what type they are?? And what would happen if I tried to use OTHER THAN type I fonts with the ATM?? Thanks in advance! My email address is schapman@aecmail.prime.com

To use these with ATM, you'll need to purchase the 'real' fonts. I wouldn't look for these to be posted to any archives, as Adobe would need to sell a lot of ATMs to recoup their losses! -- Mike Chupa, Math/CS Dept. Those are undoubtedly SCREEN fonts only and not LASER fonts. If the latter,
they would represent PIRATED copies and hence would be illegal. Many systems
carry the screen fonts tho'

Excuse me, I am interested in obtaining the Adobe bitmap fonts. I noticed that you said they are available on the "Sumex" archive. I am new to this forum and would appreciate it if you could provide me with a little more information on how I could access this archive. I assume it is an FTP site(?) Thanks for any help and/or information...
