maylene@alberta.UUCP (Maylene McMillan) (05/13/85)
I am looking for a challenging position with a company on
the West Coast or in the New York area. I have just completed
my Master's degree in Computing Science. I would enjoy work
that took advantage of my exceptional interpersonal and
technical skills. This could be in the areas of marketing,
sales, education and training.
I spent 9 years in Europe and Asia travelling, teaching and
managing my own business. The latter involved the purchase, design,
manufacture, marketing, import and export of clothing and handi-
crafts. I left my teaching job in Iran when the Shah left and ...
now for something completely different
... began studying Computing Science.
In graduate school I achieved an A+ average (8.6/9 in stanine).
The courses included: software engineering, artificial intelligence,
computational complexity, microprogramming, programming languages
and a marketing course from the M.B.A. program. My Master's thesis
involved the design and implementation of a data management facility
incorporatedI have also taken courses in Graphic Design (photography and
typography).
My most recent computing experience was as a consultant for
I.P. Sharp Associates in Sydney, Australia. I did a study of 4th
generation languages for them and made recommendations for their
database project. Other experience includes work as a programmer/
analyst and a microcomputer software consultant. I am good at
research, design, planning, organization, communication and,
of course, programming.
I consider myself to be a well-rounded person. I have many and varied
interests including psychology, anthropology, photography and travel.
I am very healthy and enjoy physical activities such as bodybuilding,
swimming, cycling and scuba-diving.
My resume and references are available upon request.
