twosheds@ferris.cray.com (Jay Vollmer) (03/25/90)
Well, the time has come when I need to integrate MS-DOS into my
Macintosh environment. The setup that I'm talking about includes
a 2.5 Meg SE with 2 external 20 Meg Hard Disks and a 5 Meg IIcx with
an internal 80 Meg Hard Disk.
I'm not comfortable with the idea of a Mac286 because I don't want to
eat up my last two slots (although I'd be interested to hear of experi-
ences that might change my mind or reinforce my decision).
I'm giving thought to Insignia's SoftPC as a solution to my problem.
I' be very interested in hearing from anyone who has had experience with
this product.
I'd especially like to know what 5 1/4 inch drive it supports (Apple's or
Dayna's) and what limitations it may have (will it emulate a Floating-Point
Coprocessor will it support the Clipboard).
Please Email responses and I will summarize to the net.
