I realise this topic has been covered recently, but I still don't seem to be able to get positioning to work the way I'd like. Possibly, it's a special case and maybe someone can help me. I have a graphic that I drew in SuperPaint, Copy'ed, and Paste'd into the Word document (I haven't been able to get Paste Link to co-operate for editting either but that's another story). The graphic is about .5 page high and I'd like to position it with a preceeding and following paragraph on the page together (I don't really care where, just so long as they are on the page together). Both paragraphs are short and it all will fit on a page. So, I selected the preceeding paragraph, the graphic (which appears greyed out in normal editing mode), and the following paragraph. I went into Format/Position and asked for Horizontal/Centre and Vertical/Top (but I also tried all the others). On previewing it, they didn't ever come out together on the page together. The preceeding paragraph seemed to do what it wanted separately from where the other objects were positioned. Sometimes they would be on separate pages and sometimes the preceeding paragraph would overlap the graphic. Never did it come out right, regardless of where I positioned the selection. Any ideas what's happening here and how to fix it ? Thanks, Katherine ------ Katherine Franklin franklin@uvicctr.uvic.ca University of Victoria franklin@uvunix.bitnet Victoria, BC, Canada
