Does anyone know of a MacDraw II format to Interleaf translator? We have a request to take a macdraw II file into Interleaf and then make changes to it, or clean it up. This helps keep the document all together -- Louis McDonald Internet: louis@aerospace.aero.org The Aerospace Corporation 213-336-8914

I assume that you are talking about Interleaf on some other computer than on the Macintosh. Interleaf on the Mac is currently version 3.5 and can open most Mac documents directly. It is a decidely non-Macintosh interfaced program, but most ports are. It does have LOTS of capabilities but needs 8megs to run. I personally use Interleaf on a Sun workstation as V4.0, but it is also available on Apollo, etc. On the sun there are filters available from Interleaf for conversion of MacWrite, RTF (MS Word), PICT (MacDraw) and MacPaint formats. They are called "macwrfilt", "rtffilt", "macdrfilt" and "macptfilt", respectively. Here's the catch, you can only use certain versions of these Macintosh programs to generate the files, MacWrite 4.5, MacPaint 1.5 and MacDraw 1.9 and 1.9.5. It appears the any rft document will work. I have been sucessful in transfering MacDrawII documents by cutting and pasting the graphics into MacDraw 1.9.5, saving them in pict format and then transferring them to the Sun for filtering. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= = John DeRosa, Motorola, Inc, Cellular Infrastructure Division = = e-mail: ...uunet!motcid!derosaj = = I do not hold by employer responsible for any information in this message = = nor am I responsible for anything my employer may do or say. = =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
