My hard disk crashed a few days ago - cause unknown. After
sorting out the damage only my boot partition was trashed. I was very
happy because my disk is 300meg. Anyway, I only lost about 6meg worth
of stuff. Here's what I did.
1. Formatted the disk with finder so it was mountable.
2. Used SUM to recover the deleted files.
Luckily, most of the files were in the System Folder so I did
not have to do much directory reconstruction. Only a few of the files
were actually trashed and I even found some old files that had been
there before I re-partitioned my disk.
I'm a happy mac-er, now, thanks in part to SUM.
Just though I'd let you know. I'm only a pleased customer.
