A better solution might be the use of a PostScript template downloader
that offers user editable fields. User input is merged with a predefined
PostScript template. One such program is, Laser ConTemplates from Lupin
Software, P.O. Box 4009, Davis CA 95617. A demo version is available on
GEnie in the Macintosh area in the Commercial demos library. (Disclaimer:
I wrote some of the PostScript code for it.)

Several years ago I wrote a HyperCard stack that merged user-entered text
with PostScript templates to print convention name tags, business cards,
report covers, etc. It was created to solve a similar problem. However,
that effort was abandoned because no one was interested in it. Ive
uploaded a one template version of it to the HyperCard area on GEnie. Its
called Laser Printing from HyperCard.
