I would like to make my own PhoneNET box. Not because I think it will be cheaper or better, but because I think it would be fun to do. I know that PhoneNET evolved from BMUGNET. In the BMUG FALL 1985 NEWSLETTER diagrams of RevA and RevB of BMUGNET are given. And in the BMUG SPRING 1986 NEWSLETTER I read that Farallon distributes a PhoneNET box, which is "basically compatible with the circuit in the PhoneNET board (kits and assembled versions) and the BMUGNET RevC designs." And a diagram of (by now patented?) PhoneNET is given So can someone tell me what the BMUGNET RevC design looks like, and where it differs from a PhoneNET box? This information is probably printed in the BMUG 1985/86 WINTER NEWSLETTER, which I don't have. Especially I would like to know what transformer is used. Also, what about the legalities? If a design is printed in a publication, can you make it for yourself as long as don't sell it? (No, I don't want to sell it, I don't even want to use it: I only have one Mac :-). SVP mail me, I'll summarise for the net. Martijn Koster koster@let.vu.nl
