[comp.sys.mac] MacGif -> GIF

macman@wpi.wpi.edu (Chris Silverberg) (04/07/90)

I haven't dealt much with GIF pictures, but is there someone who could followup
with tips and methods for going from a generic GIF file, to a file that can
be read with Giffer or those other applications, and then from a Gif created
by a mac program to just standart GIF?

For instance, I took a GIF picture that I had made on a Mac. Then I tried
uploading it to a UNIX host, and using a DECstation to display it. The GIF
almost came in. I could tell it was the picture. But it was still messed. Is
this perhaps because of Macbinary conversions that must be made??

- Thanks
