Does anyone out there in the wide, wide Net have such a thing as a driver for a DEC TU80 tape drive they would be willing to send me ?? Public Domain or 'FreeWare' would be excellant, though not strictly required. Please reply to me by mail saying you've got one; we don't need it immediately (but we *DO* need to know that there's one out there *AS SOON AS POSSIBLE* for planning purposes) and I don't want to get fifty different, incompatible versions that I'd then have to pick one of (I've never even looked at driver source before, so I wouldn't know a good one until it either bit me (:-) or worked continuously for months :-). I just remembered something else that would be nice: a streaming driver (one that put the drive into 'stream' mode when appropriate) would be even better; we don't even have one of those for BSD 4.2 !!!! In case it matters, we have source code licenses for BSD 4.2, BSD 2.9, System V (I'm not sure of the release number, but probably not 2), and several other flavors of UNIX (which, now that I mention it, is a trademark of or copyrighted by AT&T :-) (Yes, *MY* mentioning 'UNIX' made it a ... of AT&T :-).
