I've heard a lot about the new release of WriteNow - apparently, they've added several things and made most a bit 'cleaner'. One thing I have not heard mention of, however, is if they've added a Page Preview function. This is one feature I've been looking for since the first release and have been getting fairly disappointed with each 'upgrade' since they not only didn't have a preview mode, but also 'broke' Previewer (the RDEV). If it is not part of 2.2, my only question is WHY NOT??? Most professional programs have this - it's almost a standard. WriteNow seems to deal well with WYSIWYG, but for those of us with the old 9" monitors, seeing half a page in WYSIWYG is still fairly useless - it's fairly hard to position a title in the center of a title page by just guessing at the number of lines one has to add above the title. (Maybe they're saving it for the rumored 3.0. It'd better be there if they plan that version to be serious competition for Word and FullWrite. Which reminds me - if their aiming at the high-end now, I hope they don't forget the low-end market. WriteNow 2.0 is still the best package for beginners and non-power users (IMHO) and is certainly one of the fastest!) -- John =============================================================================== | John T.
