[comp.sys.mac] PageMaker 3.02 "serious internal error"

ajq@mace.cc.purdue.edu (John O'Malley) (04/12/90)

We've got a Mac II lab (configuration listed below) running PageMaker
3.02. Today several students experienced error messages similar to the
one below when saving documents:

	Serious Internal Error: Closing PageMaker
You may recover work up to the last mini-save by
	re-opening the publication.
	[ Continue ] 7018:5138

The instructor said that students in other class sections working on
the same projects did not experience this error earlier this semester.

Little has been changed since then ... except we've switched from
AppleShare-based printer spooling to Novell-based spooling, and we
installed another software package on the hard drives. But I don't see
how those could be related to the problem.

Anyone know what's going on?

Configuration: Mac II, 2 megs RAM, 40 meg HD, System Tools 6.0.2,
LaserWriter 5.2, uniFinder (NOT MultiFinder), Apple 800K Eject INIT,
Flex screensaver, Vaccine 1.0.1, Gatekeeper Aid 1.01.
