I think I solved my PICT2 problem, it had more to do with file transfer methods than any error in my generated files. Thanks to the one person who offered what help he could; you know who you are. SU Mac ftp has a macbinary mode that will create the forks from an incoming Macbinary file generated by utilities like mcvert. I got CRC mismatch errors when I tried to receive files by ftp. When I zeroed the CRC field, the transfer worked. This leads me to suspect that either SU Mac ftp is following an old spec or it doesn't check the CRC correctly. Is this a known bug? Should I tell the people who own the Mac to get better networking software? Thanks in advance, will summarize upon request and all that. Ken ken@cs.rochester.edu ..!rochester!ken
