Hi, Last week I requested some info on converting gif files to PictID=0 files to use as backdrops using DeskPict. But my problem as I stated earlier, is that the clut gets messed up and I only get a part of the color. I was told that the problem is with DeskPict. Currently I am using version 1.0 of DeskPict, and I think version 1.2 exists. If anyone could mail me a copy or point me to the right archieve, I would greatly appreciate the favour. Apparantly all my attempts to send a mail to the actual author (Clay Maechel) has failed. If anyone would provide me with the right address I will try to contact him personally. I would also like to receive some information regarding a commertial package called ScreenGems. Is it worth the price? Does it display the pictures with the proper clut? Does it work properly on the IIci? Is there any other PD/Shareware/commercial backdrop program that does the job gracefully? Please reply via e-mail if possible. Thanks. Haseen. Dated: 4/13/90
