I'm interested (very!) in doing the upgrade from my poor tired old II to a shiny new IIfx motherboard. The local computer stores are very happy to quote $2995, and the campus computer store indicates that they've been told that Apple won't offer educational discounts on the board swap. Is this true? I'd like to hear from either someone at Apple who knows conclusively what the policy is, or from people at universities which offer a discount on the board swap. I'll summarize mailed responses to the net. Trying to fight city hall... --John -------------------------------------------------------------------------- John L. BullShit !!!!! excuse the bluntness and language of the response. Carnegie Mellon Computer store offers a IIfx ugrade board for $2217.00 or something very close to that +/- $10 Ed
