Hi, I was wondering if someone could tell what I'm doing wrong in the following scenario. I work in a computer lab with an AppleTalk network and a LaserWriter (not a Plus, not an SC, not an NT, not an NTX, but a plain old clunky slow LaserWriter classic). I'm trying to download the font Bookman to the laserwriter so that I can print with it from MS Word. I have the Adobe Font Downloader and the required Adobe postscipt fonts (all 4 files) as well as a bitmap version of Bookman for installation in the System file. I download everything to the laserwriter OK. It gets there and I can see the list to verify it. I then use Font/DA Mover to install the font in the System file and load Word. When I print from Word, I get the bitmap font on the laserwriter every time. I've turned off font substitution, smoothing, and still no luck. The bitmap of the font is from an old collection of fonts that was in the lab already and not the bitmap font that came with the Adobe postscript fonts. Is this my problem? Is there some kind of I.D. conflict whereby the LaserWriter doesn't recognize them as the same font?
