I'm having a problem with my System allocation (from the About the Finder box) running out of room. Even right after I restart, there is little or no room left. I've been having lots of problems with 'Applications Unexpectedly Quit'ing and crashes of ID=02, so I'm assuming the two are related. The worst offender is DiskFit. When I backup a partition of a disk to another (smaller) partition, DiskFit either 'quits' or crashes (depending on whether or not I'm in MF) when I insert a floppy and select it. I've heard that the System allocation problem is caused by inits not reserving enough space, but I've never heard of the fix.
