An acquaintance of mine with little or no computer background bought a MAC (SE I think) with the intention of using it at his small business. Not being real familiar with MACs myself, I am hoping that someone on the net could give some pointers to good introductory books that tell him the types of programs available, how to go about selecting which of these programs would be appropriate for his needs, and in general, get him started using his computer as something more than an expensive paperweight. I tried visiting the local bookstores and browsing through the available books, but I didn't see any books that I could recommend very strongly. Maybe someone can point out a real gem, or at least indicate which books are better than the rest? Please email responses to me (or post if you think there would be any general interest).
