[comp.sys.mac] C-tutorial

kevin@pnet01.cts.com (Kevin Hill) (05/08/90)

Sorry that I am posting this here. but I wanted to let a lot of people see
this message and have a chance to respond. Comp.sys.mac is the closest large
conversation group that fit into programming. Thanks.

Hello, My name is Kevin Hill as you probably can see in the message header
above. I would like to start a conversation about programming in C. In
particular C on the Macintosh with Think C from Symantec. However, Most of
what I would discuss would be pertinant to all K&R compatable C compilers.
The reason that I want to do this is the fact that 1) when I started
programming, I couldn't find any place to go to learn C. I had to read books
which were sometimes very cryptic. 2) I'll enjoy telling others what I have
learned. and finally 3) I like C and it'll help me contact other C programmers
and get to know things that I've overlooked in my learnings.
I've programmed in C on the macintosh, and dare I say it, I started on
the Color Computer by Tandy about 4 or 5 years ago. So basically I have about
3 years of solid C programming under my belt.
If you would be interested, drop me a line e-mail or even post a
message here.
        Thanks,
                Kevin
