[comp.sys.mac] Internal FD -> External ?

Hi,

I'm going to get my year-old Mac SE upgraded with the FDHD
drive in a couple of weeks.  This means that my existing 800k
internal drive will be replaced.  Are there any ways to use
this drive outside of the system?  When I opened the Mac to
upgrade my memory count, I didn't see how two FD's could share
the cabin with an internal HD.

I'd hate to waste this drive as another external FD would come
in handy on occasion.  I haven't seen any kits to convert these
units, but perhaps one of you have already investigated and found
a solution to this problem?

P.S. what do people do with their 256K SIMMs after memory upgrades? I've 
      loaded the system with 4M now.
