The ink never really causes me problems, but I sometimes will put a peice of tape over a address on an important envelope. > I've heard HP is working on a new ink, does anyone know of anything more > concrete than that? A company in Waltham, Graphic Utilities, has started selling a refillable Deskjet cartridge for about $15.00. They claim their ink has 90% retention whereas HP's only has 5%. I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds promising. They can be reached at 1-800-669-4723. I know HP is working on an ink which is less water soluble. > Does the paper have a significant effect on the ink? Yes, HP recommends bond paper or plain paper for the Deskwriter.
