Hi all! I am considering purchasing a 105 Mb external hard drive for my IIx, and having read Macworld's latest review and surveyed the boards, I am still uncertain about which one to get. My criteria are: Price: less than $800 (but I'm flexible) Drive: Quantum mechanism preferred Noise: Needs to be very quiet! Misc: Must have power supply/fan (no portables!) Software: Need only decent driver and formatting software Company: Would like to avoid fly-by-night-operators! If it's any help, my IIx runs 6.0.4, with 5 Mb ram, 80 Mb internal hard drive and 1 floppy. Two that I am considering are Hard Drives Intl and Macland. What do you think? Please mail replies to me - I'll summarize if there's interest. Depressing quote: "If life is really worth living, then why isn't it better then this? Uplifting quote: "The previous is only a quote" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sunil Bhatla ||| INTERNET: bhatlas@pyrite.som.cwru.edu Weatherhead School of Management ||| AOL: SunilB Case Western Reserve University ||| CIS: 73177,3311 Cleveland, Ohio 44106 ||| VOICE: 216/368-2061 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
